League of Social Service, Jersey, 1922. First Edition, Hardcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. A collection of serially published pamphlets and quarterlies edited by Maud Oxenhope and published in Jersey between 1922 and 1926. The publications contain articles,'reviews on books and plays, quotations, a short play, poetry, letters and earlier issues contain simple local advertisements. Publications are securely bound together in blue covers with gilt lettering which has water damage on both faces, the Litany for the League of Social Service (Jersey 1922) which consists of various prayers, is pasted to the front end-paper and a Jersey bookbinder's label to the rear inside covers. End-papers are foxed as are lower edges of early final pages, pages are otherwise clean. President of the League was the Dean of Jersey and Hon. Secretary was Rev. J H B Mace.
